As a photographer, my goal is to witness and document authentic moments of human connection. My job is to get out of the way and allow those beautiful stories to happen. I do this by building relationships and connecting with my subjects, putting them at ease so we can create the ideal image. Once they are in the moment, that’s when true magic can be captured in a photograph.

To be completely honest, I’m oversimplifying the process quite a bit! To get the best shot, you not only need professional-quality equipment, lighting, and software, but someone who’s an expert in how to use them, along with a high-level of collaboration between the photographer and your team. Whether it be photos, video production, art direction, or an aerial drone shoot, I’m utterly meticulous when it comes to planning and communication with my clients. I’ve learned through experience that it’s absolutely essential to iron out all of the details with your public relations team before the big shoot so those authentic, collaborative moments can have a chance to shine!

After the photo shoot the images are optimized for client approval. By the end of the process, you will have a polished, professional result. My experience with tight budgets and short deadlines comes from my years of experience working as a photojournalist. In my career, I work with a variety of clients and subjects, from the performing arts and corporate portraiture to commercial photography and NGOs. It’s been my privilege to authentically capture the city and people of the San Francisco Bay Area for 30 years, and I want to do the same with you and your organization!
